Salty Sol Collective began with a feeling — the warmth of the sun, the sound of the ocean, and the colours of Australia that made us feel calm, free, and alive.

As a Japanese woman living in Australia, I found comfort in the ocean during both joyful and challenging times in my life. The coastal lifestyle here taught me how to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with myself — something I deeply needed, especially through the ups and downs of motherhood and everyday life.

I realised that this feeling — this sense of calm and softness — was something I couldn’t easily find back in Japan. And I wanted to share it.

My sister and I have always been close. From childhood to now, we’ve supported each other through every stage of life. Creating Salty Sol Collective together felt natural — a shared dream built on connection, trust, and love.
